Computer Engineering Technologist

About Me

I am a versatile Computer Engineering Technologist with a passion for building, securing, and optimizing interconnected systems. Graduating with a diploma from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), I have intentionally kept my technical footprint broad rather than narrowing my focus to a single domain.

My expertise bridges the gap between hardware architecture and high-level software development. On any given day, I am equally comfortable designing low-level bare-metal firmware for microcontrollers, engineering custom PCB layouts, configuring containerized environments, or managing local network infrastructure.

As a natural problem solver and a dedicated generalist, I enjoy analyzing complex systems from the hardware level to the software deployment pipeline. I thrive on learning new technologies quickly, finding elegant engineering solutions, and ensuring that physical components and software infrastructure communicate securely and seamlessly.

Projects

Chat Application

Rust • TypeScript • Docker / Podman • PostgreSQL • object storage

Architected a full-stack messaging platform featuring secure peer-to-peer and group messaging, file transfers, and robust JWT-based user authentication. Designed a containerized deployment architecture utilizing a PostgreSQL database, Garage object storage, and an Nginx + Traefik + Cloudflare tunnel to securely serve the frontend assets.

Music Player

C • STM32 HAL • SPI / SDIO

Engineered a real-time hardware music player interfacing an STM32 microcontroller with a VS1053 audio decoder. Developed low-level drivers to stream audio data from an SD card over SPI and implemented dynamic runtime playback controls, volume adjustments, and a custom mathematical tracking algorithm to calculate audio duration accurately.
